Meet the Time Is Key Team

Our Story

Time is Key is a family run business. It was created by couple Jase and Leesa, who were later joined by Jase’s sister Steph, and her husband Ammon.

We started in 2016. After Jase’s bucks’ night at an escape room, he and Leesa went on to do an escape room together. On the train ride home, they were talking and said to each other, “we should to this!” And so they did.

After a short time Jase quit the job he hated, they’d rented their original premises in Dandenong and their first room ‘Bradshaw Manor’ was born.

Time is Key quickly gained a reputation as one of the best escape rooms in Melbourne. Unfortunately when Covid-19 hit in 2020, it was forced to close due to lockdown.

In 2023, Jase and Leesa were keen to reopen and expand-so after a meeting with Steph and Ammon the new team was born. Our rooms continue to be story driven, interactive and challenging, leaving a lasting impression.

We look forward to building experiences that create memories for so many people.

The Team

Jase: Dad, horror movie enthusiast and our head room designer. He had the idea for Bradshaw Manor while on the commute to a job he hated in the city. He has written a thriller novel for young adults and loves how escape rooms are able to combine his love of story-telling with great customer interactions.

Leesa: Our customer service officer, with the bonus of a flair for design. Leesa works to source props, enhancing the feel of the room and making the experience more immersive. Leesa has developed her creativity by experimenting in several different mediums. Time is Key is a great opportunity to take her talents and love of art and roll them into one. She’s also a mum of two.

Ammon: With a background in small business, one of Ammon’s key roles in Time is Key to work alongside Jase to establish how our escape experiences will work logistically, thus bringing the stories to life. Ammon has four kids, loves music and painting miniatures, and has used skills learned from his degree in music production and composition to create the sound design and vocal tracks that accompany our escape rooms.

Steph: Home schooling mum of four, Steph has over ten years of experience working in administrative roles. She has a face painting business which fulfills her love of creating great experiences and memories for people. Steph manages our projects making sure they’re completed on time and within budget (for the most part!).
